Description

Homecraft Dorking Stocking Aid is a flexible plastic dressing aid with long cotton tapes, designed to help put on socks or stockings without bending down to the foot.

The garment is loaded over the shaped gutter and held by side notches before being pulled over the foot and up the leg using the tapes.

How to use

Sit on a firm, stable seat. Form the flexible gutter into a tube and pull the sock or stocking over it with the heel aligned to the outside curve. Lower the loaded aid to the floor using the tapes, place the foot into the open end, then pull steadily on both tapes to draw the garment over the foot and up the leg.

Size & fit

Gutter length: 229 mm (9 inches).
Pull-cord length: 920 mm (36 inches).
Weight: Approx. 55 g.

Suitable for

Suitable for people who have difficulty bending or reaching their feet because of reduced hip, knee or back movement and want to put on socks or stockings with less bending.

Storage

Keep the plastic gutter and tapes clean and dry. Store without sharply folding or crushing the flexible gutter.

Warnings

Use while seated on a stable surface. Pull both tapes steadily and stop if the garment catches painfully or if balance is affected. The aid is intended for dressing only and should not be used for standing support or transfers.
