Health Services at Procters Pharmacy in Polegate, Hailsham & Heathfield
Procters Pharmacy provides a growing range of NHS and private pharmacy services in East Sussex, helping patients access practical healthcare, advice and treatment closer to home. Our pharmacies serve communities across Heathfield, Hailsham, Polegate and the surrounding areas, with services designed to complement local GP practices and make everyday healthcare easier to access.
NHS pharmacy services close to home
Community pharmacies can now provide support for an increasing number of health needs without a GP appointment. At Procters, our NHS services include NHS Pharmacy First, repeat prescription support, the NHS Hypertension Service, the New Medicine Service, NHS contraception, stop smoking support and NHS weight management services.
Pharmacy First allows eligible patients to receive advice and, where appropriate, treatment for a range of common conditions directly from the pharmacy. Our pharmacists can also provide blood pressure checks, help patients understand newly prescribed medicines and offer confidential advice on contraception and other areas of health.
Prescriptions and ongoing medicine support
Our pharmacies continue to provide convenient repeat prescription services alongside professional advice from our pharmacy teams. We can help patients manage regular medicines, understand new treatments and access NHS services intended to support safer and more effective use of medication.
For patients beginning certain new prescription medicines, the NHS New Medicine Service provides additional support from a pharmacist. This gives patients an opportunity to discuss how their medicine is working, raise concerns and receive practical guidance after starting treatment.
Vaccinations and preventative healthcare
Procters Pharmacy also provides a range of vaccination services. Depending on eligibility, season and branch availability, these include the flu vaccination, COVID vaccination and Meningitis B vaccination. Pharmacy vaccination services offer a convenient way to protect yourself and your family while receiving care from trained healthcare professionals in your local community.
Private pharmacy and weight management services
Alongside our NHS services, Procters Pharmacy offers selected private healthcare services, including our Procters Weight Loss Clinic and access to private medical cannabis services. Our private weight management service provides professional support for suitable patients who want clinical help with weight loss, with treatment considered following an appropriate consultation and assessment.
A growing range of pharmacy services
The role of community pharmacy continues to expand, and so does the range of services available from Procters. We regularly review new NHS programmes, clinical services and private healthcare options that may benefit our patients. As new services become available, we aim to introduce them where they are clinically appropriate and practical for the communities we serve.
Because individual services, eligibility requirements and appointment availability can vary, please check the relevant service page or contact your local Procters Pharmacy before visiting if you need a particular treatment or consultation. Our team can advise on what is currently available and the best way to access the service you need.
