Description

Galpharm Cold Sore Cream contains aciclovir 5% for treating cold sores on the lips and face.

Treatment works best when started at the tingling stage, although it may be started after a blister appears.

How to use

Apply a thin layer to the cold sore and surrounding skin five times daily at roughly four-hour intervals, omitting the night-time dose. Continue for four days; follow the leaflet if healing is incomplete.

Active ingredients

Aciclovir 5% w/w (50mg per gram).

Store below 25°C. Do not refrigerate. Keep out of reach of children.

Warnings

For cold sores on the lips and face only. Avoid eyes and mucous membranes. Do not use for genital herpes or if immunocompromised without medical advice. Wash hands before and after use.
