Description

Zovirax Cold Sore Cream is an antiviral cream for treating cold sores caused by herpes simplex on the lips and face.

Supplied in a 2g tube.

How to use

Adults and children: apply five times daily at approximately four-hourly intervals, omitting night-time application. Start at the first sign of symptoms. Continue for at least 4 days; may continue up to 10 days. Wash hands before and after application.

Active ingredients

Aciclovir 5% w/w (50mg/g).

Storage

Store below 25°C. Do not refrigerate.

Warnings

For external use only; do not apply to eyes, inside mouth or nose, or on genital sores. Do not share towels or lip balm. May cause transient burning, stinging, drying, or flaking. Propylene glycol and sodium laurilsulfate may cause skin irritation. Always read the leaflet. Not recommended for immunocompromised patients. Seek pharmacist advice for frequent or severe outbreaks.
